It seems that Strava Heatmaps have been removed.
They are very useful to identify often travelled tracks.
Thank You
Maurizio Chesi

Unfortunately, I'll stick to the old version until there are Strava Heatmap overlays. Is it only a matter of time or do you have any technical/legal issues?

@mchesi @cypok You can add the Strava Rides Layer if you want. Go to Settings / Map Layers / Custom Layers

Hi @mchesi
actually the link for Strava Rides is:

and for running:

The one before was for all activities.

Hi @nevvkid ,
if possible, I would be happy if this setting would become a standard setting as before

Is there also a level for mountain bikes?
Best regards

It seems that the nakarte accesses to strava heatmap do not work.
I experienced that the "all" access worked properly a couple of days ago.

@mchesi It still works for me with following link for example.
https://proxy.nakarte.me/https/heatmap-external-b.strava.com/tiles-auth/all/bluered/{z}/{x}/{y}.png?px=256 I noticed in bikerouter.de that i can not see it if zoomed to close. Also you could try replacing the "b" in heatmap-external-b with "a" for example.

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Strava contains an instruction on how to get high-quality heatmap using your personal Strava cookies. The only thing to add is that I've disabled CORS in Safari to make it work.

Also, I've checked that sport_MountainBikeRide, sport_Hike and others work.

One can say that removing built-in overlays resulted in better overlays for me. :)

It works for me by removing "?px=256" at the end of the links

@vcoppe Any idea when this will be available in the new version?

I don't plan to support this officially as it's a hack that is definitely against Strava's terms of service.

Thank you very much for your reply. I totally understand, especially now that more and more people are using the site.

@ravenfeld at least the new version allow in a very nice way to add overlays, and previous comments explains what urls to use to get this feature back even if not supported (and i fully understand why)
So this is a happy end for me !

@brousselle Yes, it's just that I have to explain it to a lot of friends I managed to convert to GpxStudio who were used to the old version. But that's all I need to know.

@cypok How do you set "the new sports" into the ACTIVITY field?

https://heatmap-external-a.strava.com/tiles-auth/ACTIVITY/hot/{z}/{x}/{y}.png?Key-Pair-Id__etc
For me only works with the usual ones:
run
ride
winter
water
all

I've tried with:
GravelRide
Walk
MountainBikeRide

...but they don't work.

Hi cypoc,
Du you have any idea, how to add the STRAVA private Heatmap, instead of the global one?
The global Heatmap-hack works very well, as you suggested above. -THX-

@ibash666 , you should use sport_MountainBikeRide instead of MountainBikeRide.

Note to my original message:

Also, I've checked that sport_MountainBikeRide, sport_Hike and others work.

@Prescaler , unfortunately I don't have access to personal heatmaps. I can recommend you opening the map with your personal heatmap, activate developer tools in browser, move the map and pay attention to new tiles appearing in network tab of developer tools.
