System seems to be running, but the Meter Deflection not responding or disabled.

Just loaded Fedora 31 Upgraded and refreshed 10-31-2019
Intel® Pentium(R) CPU 4415U @ 2.30GHz × 4
GNOME: Version 3.34.1

Have you tried lowering the volume threshold in the "Sound Analysis" tab of the Settings panel ?

The same issue happens for me on Manjaro Linux. It seems that Meter Deflection is just disabled on program start.

Just opening settings panel and pressing "Ok" makes it run again
