For now OSS is not well supported on MATE so this will only happen when I can't get to replace the MATE audio stuff. |

Thanks for you response. I understand better the trouble. What about pipewire with pipewire-pulse ? Some Linux Distro use it as workarround. I have successfully test it approche under Alpine Linux MATE desktop. I suppose you all ready know that, and all ready consider the breackout size... Regards |

Actually PulseAudio is remove as default sound server on lot of Linux Distro.
It look strange GhostBSD use it as default and nothing on roadmap about a future remove.
Unfortunally to me it require to mush job and computer time to remove it form my GhostBSD installation.
PulseAudio is a softwahre it require to be include nativelly on the kernel, for respect it author promess. That a bit faild. JAckd OSS havent it trouble ...
In that case the trouble is not PulseAudio it have been everytime be adopters.
Now the war is finish PulseAudio have lost the war and should be remove as default audio server.
That just my 2 cents. I recommand to remove PulseAudio as default then exclude it on build process.
