First of all I hope this is the right repo to request this in.
I am running Jellyfin on my Umbrel node and would like to take advantage of hardware acceleration via Intel's QuickSync. However, the necessary kernel modules and configurations are not yet supported.
Please consider adding support for Intel QuickSync hardware acceleration in a future update. This would enable better performance for applications like Jellyfin running on Umbrel.
Additional context
I've attempted to manually configure this, but I encountered issues due to kernel limitations and lack of driver support. Given the efficiency and performance gains that QuickSync can offer, it would be a highly beneficial feature to add.
