The 'more' tag appears to not work

I've noticed when previewing the Hacktoberfest post, that where the "read more" break appears on the site doesn't correspond to the tag in the post file

don't, and adding monitoring information. Related, we would like to field test

I'm pretty sure this used to work, it may have stopped working in an update at some point. We need to figure out what the correct way to do this is now.
