Our site uses pages, not blog posts, for most of the content worth searching for.
Yet, only posts are showing up in results.

Can Confirm in the site export file
/wp-content/uploads/wp-sls/search-feed.xml

might want to at least mention this limitation in the plugin description

Fixed in my fork here:
https://github.com/Erudition/wp-serverless-search
You can specify the export type in admin settings.
