does the qbittorrent widget requires a docker?

hi, I'm really new into this homelab world and i saw some tutorials and decided to give it a try.
so after installing homepage through a docker on my linux mint server i wanted to enable the qbittorrent widget.
I've been using an appimage file of qbittorent. i enabled the webUI option on the server setting password and a port.
now if i go to the address with the port on my pc i can enter the webUI of the qbittorent, but when i added the widget it says: API Error: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data is it because i have the qbittorent on appimage? the services.yaml file is
