What is your gender?

Don't understand the value from this question, how it's beneficial for people in tech, I agree a good question for social studies but for tech, it's a bit irrelevant, we get hired, and we hire people based on their qualifications not their gender I hop. (or at least should not be required)

What your Age?

Why this ranges (I mean could it be just a numeric input)

Where are you currently located?

Other is not a place! Why not just put an input for the location?

How many years have you been coding professionally?

Again we can use a numeric input, and would be great to add a question for the seniority level like (Do you consider yourself as Senior/Mid/Junior)

Do you have any plans to work outside Morocco?

I think 3 options YES/NO/MAYBE is enough, we already know if the user is outside from the located question

What do you usually drink while coding?

At least should not be required, personally I prefer move it to a section called fun to know, with optional questions.

Learning & Education

Where did you study coding?

This can be multiple, cause a lot of devs I know did a combination of this!

Work ⇒ Experience

as only 1% work from last year correspondent are in US/Canada, I think the EURO is a better fit here

I think BSD is a must, and I think either it's Unix-based or Linux!

What about Emacs and nvim users!

SQLite is everywhere on every device, and not mention her!

Some options are mostly for personnel use!

At the end, Thank you for the great work,
From my last year experience, I thought the questionnaire was a little bit long. And the community need to invest more in making the questions easier more fun to be finished by connecting questions with each other like if someone said his in morocco we can hide questions related to user abroad and like wise.
Another, Idea this Discussion could be a PR, so everyone can highlight and discuss questions individually
For the questions about frameworks and Languages, if we can display next to each language choices like Liking/Using/Learning ! So we make it a little bit faster to finish.
And more promotion ads to make more devs participate!

I think it would be easier, as you suggested, if you open a PR with the changes that you highlighted. Its hard to answer or your points in this thread. Some of them are great, some of them will make it harder for us to gather data, since we only collect raw data, and allowing free input might be challenging.

I agree on the shortness part, but the user can also skip some of the questions right? Also the gender and age question are an attempt to track diversity:)
