Recommended way of including PyPi packages #123

Is there a simple way of including PyPi packages in a QGIS plugin? I've searched online and the suggestions are complex and overwhelming to someone new to Python and building QGIS plugins. It would be good to have a way that is as simple as pip install is for regular Python projects.

The problem is largely unsolved. I've just released this proposal for changing the status quo. Let's see how it goes ...
