It is very inconvenient for translators to contribute. From what I have seen on GitHub, it is actually impossible to translate anything right now, because the files need to be manually edited and contributions are apparently closed.
(Personally, I looked into translating because some parts of the German translation seem as if they were written by a translator with dyslexia.)
Proposal
Weblate should be able to handle your XML translation files. I would suggest hosting one for FUTO. I run a Weblate instance for Overte, which has been pretty low on maintenance; Maybe we could even collaborate on that.
(I would recommend not using Weblate's free hosted offering, as they aren't willing to restore backups in case something goes wrong; Though I assume many FUTO apps aren't allowed on there anyway, because of the non-OSI approval.)
