I am a last year DPhil candidate in the Department of Statistics at the University of Oxford, part of the CDT programme OxWaSP between Oxford and Warwick.
I am working under the supervision of Prof François Caron and Prof Judith Rousseau.
I am recepient of an EPSRC scholarship.

My research interests lie around Bayesian models for networks, disclosure risk assessment and fair machine learning.

In Spring 2020 I visited Duke University in Durham, NC, collaborating with Prof David Dunson. In Spring 2021 I worked at IDSIA (Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence) in Lugano, Switzerland, with Dr Marco Scutari. From May to October 2021 I was an intern at J.P. Morgan London, working as quantitative researcher in a trading team.

Prior to coming to Oxford, I obtained a BSc in Mathematics and a MSc in Stochastics and Data Science at the University of Turin (Italy). In parallel, I was an Allieva at Collegio Carlo Alberto, studying Economics and Statistics.

After the PhD (I am graduating in April 2022), I would like to continue exploring the topic of fair ML or other exciting data-related opportunities. I'd love to hear if you have something interesting to propose me!

We study the asymptotic properties of random graphs originated from graphex processes, in particular sparsity levels, degree distribution and clustering coefficients. We derive a central limit theorem for the number of nodes and we propose a class of models that can tackle separatly the local and global structures of a network. Joint work with F. Caron and J.
Since January 2021, I am an active committee member of EquiStats, a discussion group on the themes of equality, diverity and inclusion in the Department of Statistics, Oxford. I co-organised the discussions around diverse hiring practices and fairness in machine learning.

Since the beginning of 2018, I am an active member of the St. Peter's College Boat Club. I am mostly a rower (we won blades in Summer Eights 2019 with the first women team!), but also an enthusiastic cox. I also help the club as Water Safety Officer and Social Media Manager.

I am one of the founding members of the StatsChoir of our department. In the past, I have sung (and conducted) in different choirs and played the piano.

As a volunteer, I spent part of the summer in Gabon (2011) and Democratic Republic of Congo (2013). These experience are a bit far in time now, but have been one of the best moments of my life and I am looking forward to coming back.
