Non-ASCII characters support for participants

Currently the REST API does not support chatter names with spaces or other special characters. In the chat app it would be nice to see the full name as entered.
If technically required, the API could be accessed by using some id which has only ascii chars, the name would be part of some meta data which is then part of the payload.
