[Q&A] Does fluentd support recursively using <or> and <and> directive ?

What is a problem?

I wonder if fluentd support recursively using <or> and <and> directives?
If not, can I suggest fluentd to support such function in the future?
Or probably I didn't configure it correctly at all.

Describe the configuration of Fluentd

  <filter log.test>
    @type grep
    <or>
      <and>
        <regexp>
          key bla1
          pattern ^blabla$
        </regexp>
        <regexp>
          key bla2
          pattern ^blabla$
        </regexp>
      </and>
      <and>
        <regexp>
          key bla1
          pattern ^blablabla$
        </regexp>
        <regexp>
          key bla2
          pattern ^blablabla$
        </regexp>
      </and>
    </or>
  </filter>

When starting fluentd, it will tell me that (an example of many warnings)

2024-11-05 12:05:25 +0900 [warn]: parameter 'pattern' in <regexp>
  key bla1
  pattern ^blabla$
</regexp> is not used.
... (repeatedly)
