died on 02/02. second time dying despite a replacement on 01/24. sensor cable might be at fault as sensor never charged

02/28: replaced entire sensor. I suspected that the solar panel was at fault as a part of the inner wiring was exposed. Tested solar panel in lab, and it seemed to be fine. Monitor sensor in field for a week more. If it goes down again, the location is not getting sufficient sunlight and needs to be moved.
