Create many files for testing

Hello,

does someone know if i can create many testfiles. For example based on excel, ppt, word, txt, pdf with content to create new files with kinda new/different content based on the old files? To avoid dublicates.

I think it can be broken down into 2 parts:
First, create filenames by adding a number (e.g. "test001.txt", "test002.txt", ...). That's the easy part.
Second, create the file content by using a template file and applying search&replace to it. The search&replace part is tricky and furthermore: Excel and Word files are binary files.
