bug: Warehouse shows author names as flatpak app names

• I am using the Flatpak package of Warehouse
• I have not found any other opened issues on the same topic

Issue

Warehouse shows author names for some flatpaks instead of using normal flatpak names since v1.5.0
.
Dvlv instead of BoxBuddy, Felix Zwettler instead of Rnote, dec05eba instead of GPU Screen Recorder etc.

I notice that this output is also reflected when using flatpak list command.
So this could be a flatpak upstream issue.

Ah yes, I was wondering when I would receive a report for this. As you said, it's an issue with Flatpak itself and has been affecting other apps, like Flatseal, too. I'm afraid there isn't anything I can do while we wait for this issue to be resolved.

You know what, I'm going to close this issue even though its not fixed, as its an upstream bug.

i would argue this be reopened to avoid duplicates such as #119

i'm using Flatpak 1.14.6, which includes the fix above:

You raise a good point about duplicates. I think I should reopen it then. As for why you continue to have the issues, the affected apps need to be either reinstalled or updated for the issue to be resolved. If that doesn't fix it then I do not have an answer. Thank you.

thanks! i confirm flatpak install --reinstall <package> fixes the issue.
