I have the same problem. export QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland doesn't solve the problem.

I solved this problem on Fedora KDE by including the following in my ~/.profile:

export QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland
export XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland

My current system is:
