By default, I think while changing month, the date remains same or moves to the 
nearest available date from current selection.
My requirement is: While changing the month, the date should move to 1st.
This also applies when changing year: Month & Date both should move to 1st.

Please let me know where configuration needs to be changed to achieve this.

This is currently not supported internally.
You could try to experiment with the onChange event to set the values of the 
other wheels
