Should there be a way of adding a simple placeholder text?

Why closed? I think this is a valid issue and I'd like to see such feature. I didn't find support for it in docs.

Ok. Let's reopen this. I'll try to take a look to see how much work would be to get a PR up for adding this feature, shouldn't be much I think
