Error running the .exe file

Whenever I try and view an image through the .exe option (set windows to use the .exe to open the file) it just crashes. When I use the terminal it works perfectly fine. I tried to get windows to display and keep open the terminal (so I could see the error and potently fix it) though it closed when the program did. Any ideas?

I got the terminal to stay open though the image doesn't display with the terminal stuck at:

I've tried waiting to no avail and it runs "instantly" when using cargo run

I have determined that the application is doing everything correctly except for the fact that it is not displaying the image.
