Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I managed to compile and run Transit in my local Mac environment - but the outputs were wrong. Figuring out why isn’t my highest priority task right now, but please be aware of this.

On lsst we have similar issues sometimes, as x land uses different standard
lib implementation, different memory management, and different math
libraries. We caught many dangling pointer issues that gcc was
transparently hiding from us. Not sure if that has anything to do with
this, but is a good place to start

I like to recommend Vagrant (https://www.vagrantup.com/) for these
scenarios. It definitely fixes the "doesn't work on my machine" problem
that is all too common when doing any sort of software dev. Super easy to
set up on Mac too.
