Generate a Site Map for a Jupyter Book Site

Hi All - For Web search purposes it's best when you submit a sitemap xml file to google search console.
Our contributing guide is in a different repo than our website which is hosted using Ruby / Jekyll. On ruby jekyll sites i can create this file easily with a bit of liquid (see below).

What would be the best way to generate a sitemap for a Jupyter book site?
The book is located here: https://github.com/pyOpenSci/contributing-guide
