Customisation of page-toc

Hi there, I was trying to override the page-toc.html template in sphinx-book-theme, but with no success. Basically, I would like to replace the fa-list icon. I tried to put my template under templates/sections and templates/components (which should be the correct place), but the fa-list icon is still there. There's also the strange(st) thing that, if I include my template as part of the primary bar, it is correctly rendered in the primary bar.

Has anyone tried and succeeded in such an operation? Or is this for some reason not supported?

Well.. I have no idea why, but today the template is correctly overridden. Same setup, same "secondary_sidebar_items": ["components/page-toc.html"], in html_theme_options, no typos, no issues with browser cache... It just works.
