I've discovered Pencil a few days ago and I really like it.
I've seen posts about help or community forum and I'd love to see that.
I may set up a Discourse forum on my server for this purpose.
All I need to know is: is it worth it?
The project is not very active, although Pencil itself is working pretty well. Indeed there are issues and bugs, but we can still use it (and it's free and open cource), we can add our own Shapes collections, etc.
I've found some very old videos on Youtube, I don't even know if they are still relevant. You can find some very old posts on StackOverflow about how to create stencils, but what I've found dates back to ages when Pencil still used XUL.
Are there people interested in a community forum (Discourse with the Doc Categories plugin) to build a community driven documentation and support forum?
