This is not a bug on our end. The emails in the LDAP server are incorrect. I don't believe UCSD ever uses the email field for class accounts in LDAP.
I don't think it is our job to fix this.
Should we treat it as a non-issue then? Can we set a rule to keep the mail server from sending mail to an email matching a class account or would that run the risk of not delivering other emails?
