It seems to be very similar to the MiSTer, with the exception that for Genesis EEPROM saves it doesn't pad them out. Other platforms seem to similar to their MiSTer counterparts. There's probably an exception for NES games, some of which are padded out on the MiSTer. We should maybe begin just by not padding those. Sega CD was another one with the MiSTer conversion had to do some stuff, but this isn't supported on the Pocket at the moment.
As for the proliferation of cores on the Pocket, "The preferred cores are generally the ones by Spiritualized as it's believed they are Analogue themselves.". I should double-check this assertion, but maybe just labelling the conversion by platform rather than by core would be sufficient.
