Hi,
As a long-time Vale user, my
accept.txt
has grown quite large with assorted names added to pass the spelling rule. The trouble is, most of these terms are only valid for a single file and should flag as a spelling error in others. For example, "Yor" is usually a typo, unless you're talking about the hunter from the future.I understand we want vocabularies to be global to promote consistency, but that doesn't seem to scale with spelling exceptions, which are often local to a document. Vale provides a mechanism to turn off specific rules inline, but doesn't appear to offer a mechanism to define inline vocabulary additions.
How might we solve this? Extend comments to accept more than just a
YES
orNO
? This may prove problematic for parsing, but I'll defer to @jdkato. In an ideal world, I'd be able to add some custom yaml to a markdown file, something like:Or something similar for per-document exceptions. Thoughts?
