Ingore Jinja2 markup in HTML

I have an HTML file with jinja2 Markup

          <div class="row mt-md-n5 px-md-4 pb-md-4">
            <div class="col-12 col-md-9">
              <h3 class="card-title">{{page.server_description}}</h3>
              <p class="card-text">
                {% for feature in page.server_features.splitlines() %}
                  <span class="d-block pt-1">
                    <i class="far fa-check-circle text-server"></i> {{feature}}
                  </span>
                {% endfor %}
              </p>
            </div>

{{page.server_description}} are already ignored.

If I use {%endfor%} without spaces, it is also ignored.

Is there a way to ignore any jinja markup ?

I only have simple, single line markups.

I think you can control that either using BlockIgnores in the config or by wrapping the Jinja markup with HTML comments that turn off linting for those parts. See here for more info: https://vale.sh/docs/topics/config/#markdown-amp-html

Thanks for the info. The HTML comments are a workround.

I tried various BlockIgnores patterns, but I think that the BlockIgnores documentation is missing something.

I tried something very simple and focused only on the {% endfor %} match.
Once that work, I plan to expand to more generic experessions.

BasedOnStyles = Vale, RedHat
# Jija Markup. Not yet working,
BlockIgnores = ({% endfor %})

But it's not working. I get

I don't understand why if I use {%endfor%} (without spaces) inside the HTML file, it gets autoamtically ignored.

That was just MD extra quotes, I have updated the example.

It matches all Jinja2 markups in the first group.

But somehow it's not working for BlockIgnores

It looks like BlockIgnore doesn't work in HTML for now XML tag markup

This is #507 and #141 (comment)

One option is to run vale on the generated HTML file ... the line count will be messed up.
