Ignore Python Comments

I'd like to ignore comments in a python file. For example:

"""This is a multi-line module documentation string that I do not want to ignore.
Here's another line
"""

# I want to ignore this line

So far I've attempted:

IgnoredScopes = comment, comment.line

As well as:

TokenIgnores = (?s)(?m)(^\s*#.*$)

This doesn't seem to work:
