Hello ! :D First of all I really like this application, thank you all very much for your work :)

However, I think a better icon for this application would be welcome. When we compare the current with the systems apps icons of Android or others material design app, tremotesf icon seems overloaded, there are many different colors and shapes which overlap :/

So I took the liberty of redesigning the tremotesf icon to try to do something better. I was greatly inspired by the Mastodon application icon with its gradient background. For the colors of the background gradient I used the colors of the knob of the official transmission icon. And for the main icon I found that the tremotesf notification icon was perfect, its rectangle with rounded edge is better than the original. So I took it for the main icon.

I made before and after mockups. If you think something needs to be changed, let me know. I have also provided you with the vector files of the foreground and background. They are normally the same size as those used by the Mastodon application.

I like the general design, although I would make the handle smaller relative to the actual selector, with a smooth top, in line with the lever itself. I think a lot of automatic transmission levers now look more like a regular H-shifter gear knob, BTW, so less of a wide top 'T' shape (try an image search).

The larger size appears clear, however when looking at the icon, small as it is, the suggestion I get is more like a detonator handle (the Wyle E. Coyote/ACME type) rather than an automatic transmission.

I suppose the design cues were taken from the original Transmission or Tremotesf icon, but I believe that icon was first made for desktop screens, not the super high density smaller screens of today's smartphones.

Good work, nonetheless.

BTW which bird's chick is that one? Not a Ptarmigan, right?
