I originally setup the screensaver to use local download. I downloaded to an SD card mounted on a Debian OS.

I then added a Symlink in my home directory to that original download directory, then changed the download directory setting in the screensave to use the symlink.

When I did that, the screen save would show the "initializing" image, then my screen would go blank except for a small box (about 1" on a 60" tv) in the lower left corner, that seemed to be a tiny window on the video that would normally be playing.

I switched back to the original /media mount point for the download folder and everything is working fine again.

Not a critical issue, but thought it was odd, and wanted a record here incase anyone else was seeing a similar issue.

THANKS!

I thought I was being clever and copied the downloaded files out of the configured download folder and into another folder and then symlinked things.

Little did I know, what I really did somehow changed config and I was no longer playing videos from the predownloaded location.

Around the same time I started leaving my rpi2 running libreelec on all of the time instead of turning it on and off with the TV.

This combination of things meant that I was downloading huge video files from the internet nearly all of the time.

I'm pretty sure this is why I reached the comcast 1TB limit earlier this month than I ever have.

OOPS.

Recommend using a bind mount over a symlink. But this should be fixed upstream.
