4.1 not able to access FAT32 MicroSD via Sd2Sp2 #46
Comments
What's your setup like, what cards are in what slots? Did you pre-create the directories? |
The wiisx/isos and wiisx/bios directories are pre-created. Swiss launches from the card in the SP2 slot, and Swiss is launched directly by an IPL modchip. Just for fun I tried renaming sd:/wiisx/ to sd:/cubesx/ but that changed nothing. There is no SD card in any other interface. There is no disc in the drive, and MC1 and MC2 are empty. |
I too am having the same issue using sd2sp2. I have the latest version of Swiss running through GCLoader. I have emulators and their corresponding games on the microSD card in my sd2sp2. My NES and SNES emulators all run fine and games work perfectly fine. But the PS1 emulator doesn’t recognize the SD card. I am using the beta 4.1 and boot up CubeSX.dol That loads fine, but when you go to select ISOs or go to settings and try to change BIOS to SD or save settings to the SD card, you just get error messages. I have all files and folders exactly where they should be on the SD card. Guess I could try this on GCLoader as well since you mention there is support for that now in the 4.1 Beta, but just figured I’d chime in here that I too am experiencing the exact same problem with sd2sp2 that this other user has mentioned. Thank you for all your hard work on this project! |
Are you using FAT32? CubeSX/WiiSX doesn't support exFAT. |
Yes, it was formatted in FAT32. Interestingly enough, I tried running
things on GC Loader and everything works fine. I went back and loaded the
.dol on the SD card and all of a sudden, it's now reading the games, but I
wonder if that's actually because they are on the GC Loader SD card.

Like it says in the title. Launching via Swiss latest 0.6r1548 with CubeSD.dol in the root of the SD.
Error opening directory "sd:/wiisx/isos"
BIOS not found on SD
Error saving settings.cfg to SD
As far as I can tell, I've followed the instructions in the documentation.
