As an Android user, this is a feature I'd love to have. I got proof of concept working, but I was distracted with something else. I believe this is a perfect project for GSoC ❤️ |

I personally think this requires too much design work that has not been completed before a GSoC student could take it on. We want to make sure we're not just adding a bolt-on Android integration, but really integrating a mobile device connection into existing places within the OS that make sense—and we have other projects with more concrete design ideas but not enough development time and resources to prioritize tackling them. |

Or as I like to call it, Project Bifröst. 🤓
The idea is to have something along the lines of (or based on) KDE Connect and GSConnect.
There was this discussion on Twitter a while ago, and @JoseExposito had tested a proof of concept based on GSConnect. It could become a real thing.
This will, of course, need a lot of design in addition to development.
Fun fact: The OG KDE Connect also started as a GSoC project.
