Elementary profile (Athena & DBT): Issue with database metadata table location

Right now, we have set up the following Elementary profile at DBT:

Taking a view on Elementary db schema created at Glue, we have seen that "metadata" table is stored based on Elementary profile "work_group" property value with value "*****/query_result", so a table is created under that "directory".

In our case, we apply delete policies over work_group "*****/query_result" directory on a daily basis, so we don't know how much important "metadata" tables are.

Are there any kind of parametrisation about "metadata" table location at Elementary profile at DBT? We unknow what "metadata" table stores. Should we take care of that table?
