Steps to reproduce

element supports <img> tags in formatted_body per the spec. e.g. <img data-mx-emoticon src=\"mxc://tastytea.de/jTIkmDZxDGCxPlSSVxUwPVoG\" alt=\"catvibe\" title=\"catvibe\" height=\"32\" />.

  1. send a custom emoji
  2. hover over the message, or get replied-to, etc

bg color is applied uniformly

What happened instead?

bgcolor is "cut out" around custom emoji
