Steps to reproduce

  1. Join channels and have others post messages / mention user
  2. Open element-ios app
  3. Every time the app must first sync before the updates to the channel or channel list reflect the actual state of things (even when clicking on a notification - the message the notification is related to takes ~30 seconds to appear)

Outcome

What did you expect?

When opening the app I expect the state of the channel list and messages within a channel to be up to date.

What happened instead?

The app shows the syncing spinner at the top for several seconds while it retireves all the latest state.
