Kibana is unable to access Elastic Maps Service

Elasticsearch version:
8.16
Server OS version:
Ubuntu 22.4
Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.):
Package based
Describe the bug:
Cannot connect to Elastic map service

Any additional context:
Yesterday i upgraded my ELK stack version from 8.15.1 to 8.15.3 and since then my maps are not working properly.
I tried upgrading to 8.16.0 today but still the problem persists.
I have my whole stack as self managed installed on Ubuntu 22.04.
What are the steps to troubleshoot this problem ?
Is this a known bug ?
I have also restarted my elasticsearch and kibana services every time i changed the setting but the problem is still there.
