Create a POC to show multiple charts in merged state.

I would like to check two approaches:

  1. All y-values are normalized in a way different charts can be correlated
  2. Use original y-values for correlation

In merged state, y-axis is not shown.

Created a POC for collapsed charts with Custom threshold alert. It has -

  • both normalized and original visualizations for comparison
  • separate charts
  • histogram interval (just for testing to change bucket interval)
  • legend to show/hide any data series

Normalized values are useful to get an idea of how different metrics changed significantly over period of time. If the changes are insignificant, this can result to straight line (at max: 100 or min: 0).

Original values are useful when all metrics are in similar ranges. If one metric has very high y-axis scale, other metrics will have almost a straight line on visualization.

At the moment, it's not possible to customize tooltip for normalized values, but we can consider adding this functionality to lens.
