Describe the feature:

This is a feature gap with TSVB who allows to define this setting per style rather than globally.

Describe a specific use case for the feature:

Sometimes it is useful to use a stepped interpolation for one visualization type (i.e. area) while keeping the overlaying line visualization with the regular/smooth interpolation.
