Describe the feature:
If you wish to persist the column widths on a Lens data table, you have to make the change in the Lens editor.

Aggs-based tables allow you to persist the change from the dashboard edit mode. We should consider replicating this behavior in Lens since it does not force a view transition (page load, extra clicks, etc).

I think this is more relevant now with the inline edition, let's triage it.
