Icon not apparent #12
Comments
This is strange... The icon has now moved to the URL bar, has it moved there for you? |
I don't see it at all. Should it appear only when a pop-up is detected? |
I used to use this extension with no problem, but as of late the icon is missing from the URL bar. I'm using the standard Firefox on the current Debian. (Mozilla Firefox 52.7.3 on Debian GNU/Linux 9.4). I tried disabling and re-enabling and there's still no icon. |
@grahamperrin The icon used to be always present. After all, the point of this is to collect data to detect pop-ups in the future. |
I was about to use it today and the icon is gone as well. Did not realize it until now. |
Testing now with Firefox Quantum.

Where 1.6 fails with Waterfox, 1.5 https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/in-page-pop-up-reporter/versions/?page=1#version-1.5 succeeds. @ehsan if 1.5 is as good (for reporting purposes) as 1.6 – and if 1.5 works for Firefox ESR 52.8.1 – then you can ignore my previous plea for compatibility and |
Sorry, I forgot the more recent ESR.

Around the same time as installing the extension, I found an annoying in-window pop-up at https://medium.com/firefox-test-pilot/so-hows-screenshots-doing-f0fbb5e9351f but (unless I'm missing something) no appearance of the icon for the extension:

Environment
Waterfox 56.1.0_1 on FreeBSD-CURRENT.
Extension installed 19:27:23 – around nine minutes before the screenshot above, I'm fairly sure that installation preceded the appearance of a pop-up.
