A practical example of this can be found on PubMed, which is developed by the US National Library of Medicine. This example goes to a record of an article.. There is a button labelled "Open dialog with citation text in different styles" which opens a dialog for getting the citation. Unfortunately the dialog has a common accessibility fail, where the focus isn't put into it. (Screen reader users, after you open the dialog box, look for the Copy button.) |

Here's a fictitious user story to illustrate this feature and it's possible utility:
Current Situation
I am preparing an article to submit to a major academic journal. I am reading a book (or article) in Thorium. It seems quite relevant to the paper and I would like to get the reference to it in the American Psychology Association style (Edition 7) . Currently, there is no easy way to get this information from Thorium.
Possibly better solution:
I am preparing an article to submit to a major academic journal. I am reading a book (or article) in Thorium. It seems quite relevant to the paper and I would like to get the reference to it in American Psychology Association style (Edition 7) . Thorium has a button that generates the reference in formats, such as APA 7th, MLA, etc. I select APA 7th, then paste it into my Word document. I continue with my reading.
A question to Thorium developers? Would that be possible?
