What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Install Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) Daily Build i386 on new PC.

   http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/maverick-alternate-i386.iso

2. Open Firefox. Install Google Chrome 6.0.472.63 (linux_ubuntu_i386)

   http://chrome.google.com/

3. Open Google Chrome. Open http://gears.google.com/

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I did expect Google Gears for Chrome on Ubuntu 10.10.

I see "Chrome for Linux is not supported".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

No linux Chrome support for Gears is a shame. I can't even install it on
Firefox 3.6.13.
