setting global variable unsuccessful

I was creating a global variable in a conditional if, after that having the redirect inside that function. So, there is no call on display() whatsoever in the first place.

Later, I call render. But, the variable that I set is NULL. If, I display at the first place, it is there, but if I refresh again, it missing. Even though the global parameter is TRUE.

Hi, are you resolve this problem?? I'm trying to pass some global variable between views and I can't. In the first controller I set a globla variable and I can see it in the first view, but, when in the second controller I try to get this variable and empty are showed,
