Increasing Leshan Contributor Community ?

This issue aims to discuss about current state of Leshan Contributor Community and if some point could be improved.

User Community 👨 / 👩

AFAIK, Leshan is largely used, I I think we succeed to create a great users community.
We have regular feedback (bug report or feature request) from our community via github issue which really help to enhance Leshan.

Note

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you are a Leshan User,
and to start ⭐ the Leshan Github project, this is a good start to help.
Opening issue and providing feedback is also a great way to help. 🙏

Pre-Release Tester 👨‍⚖️ / 👩‍⚖️

We now have a small team of pre-release testers :

• @cyril2maq, @slaft (and maybe more sorry if I missed to mention someone) from Orange
• @niklas-sparfeld-gcx from Grand Centrix
• @jvermillard

For each release, a dedicated issue to plan it is created. Testers are pinged in that issue before the official release so they can execute their tests to check there is no bug/regression before the official release.

This is a great way to help, so let me know if you want to be part of the tester team. 🙏

Code Contributors 👨‍🔧 / 👩‍🔧

We have generally 1 or 2 code contributions by release from punctual contributors.
And we also have very regular contributor (contributing almost at each release), currently :

• @JaroslawLegierski, @mgdlkundera from Orange

This is not so bad but we could maybe do better, we probably need more regular contributor/committer especially if we want to ensure project longevity.

If there is anything which blocks you, let discuss about it to see if we can improve/solve the situation/issue.
