As an enhancement to the Top 10 Charts, it would be nice if we could have them broken down by Media Sections from PMS.

E.g.:

  • Top 10 All Movies
  • Top 10 Kids Movies
  • Top 10 Kung Fu Movies
  • Top 10 Documentaries

I realise that some people have tons of sections and everybody organises their library differently, so to prevent the page from becoming messy and too busy, maybe leave the current view as default and have a user-selectable drop down list of choosing another section?

Not sure how feasible this is but I thought I'd propose the idea nonetheless and see where it goes. Let me know what you think.

As an enhancement to the original request, if we can get the metadata on media sections, there's a lot more we can do than just charting.

Would be great to be able to breakdown a summary of how many total hours/views have been spent in each section.
Even better if we could break down this usage per user.

e.g:
User X

  • Kids Movies: 8 Views / 7 hrs 32 mins
  • Movies: 16 Views / 11 hrs 43 mins
  • TV Shows: 21 Views / 14 hrs 27 mins

Would something like this be possible?

(I've updated the title of this from 'More robust charting' to 'Media Sections metadata' as I think this enhancement would provide more than just charting)
