In order to use a raspberry pi, we need an ADC converter. However this it not needed on an arduino because they have both analog and digital pins. I will set up the wiring and code on the arduino first because no soldering is required. We can then transfer the connections to the raspberry pi after soldering on an adc converter .

Also it is worth noting that only some ADC converters can currently be used with rasp-io/johnny-five
