Sorry to be a pain again, but using https://dualshock-tools.github.io/ I cannot seem to calibrate the outer range properly.

I am always getting over 20% in circularity test.

Calibrating center point is great and working perfectly on my controller.

I calibrate and move around in a circle as instructed. Am I doing something wrong?

@Uniformly3576 are the analog sticks original or replaced?
Can you post a screenshot of the "over 20%"?

assembly your controller and retry. you probably try to calibrate without caps and front cover

I have installed Hall Effect modules and also fully reassembled the controller.

This is during calibration of me rotating the stick to as close as possible to the circle:

And this is testing after I press done:

I happened to have a similar issue, using the orange hall effect sticks with the JDM-055 (latest motherboard revision) controller. I believe the best remedy is to fiddle with the magnet's angle using the two pinholes next to each hall sensor. After moving them around a bit, the error percentage does appear to go down.
However, I would be curious as to whether there is a more definitive solution to this or not.

There is 0 point for a 0% margin error.

In fact, being beyond the preconised circle make you more accurate

I have a similar issue.
I changed the sticks to hall effect sticks and after that it looked like this:

So for me it seems like the sticks are fine but after I recalibrate the range I always get this:

What can I do about this?

I tried these steps and yes you can improve the range. But it is very annoying😅
The best thing will probably be to simply install the new sticks and only calibrate them via the software. Unfortunately, I can only manage to set it to around 10%.
