Any chance the version of Samba could be updated to the latest version?
I've used this image for years, only just realised there's been quite a lot of updates to Samba versions since.

Hey @dperson,

The July 2023 update of Windows 10 somehow managed to stop working with the current Samba version of your Docker image. My Ubuntu 20.04 client just works fine, but Windows 10's Samba client is buggy on multiple PCs.

Can you please rebuild the Docker image including the official fix of Samba?

Best wishes,
Marco

I made an alternative container ( https://github.com/dockur/samba ) that always has the latest version of Samba. It has much less options than this container, but still may be useful for someone.

Does your container support the declaration of multiple shares?

I'm actually thinking of a regular Samba installation again because I can't delay it any longer to fix the container.

@Bonifatius94 Currently it supports just a single share, but you can always bind /etc/samba/smb.conf to override the default config.
