Pinning favorite items

I would like to be able to favorite certain items and have them always show up as the first items.

Aye sir, this is on my todo list. I'll allow users to favorite items, but should I also have a pane for recently purchased/often purchased, or would that be redundant?

So, do you want to have all the items sorted based on your purchase frequency of the item, and then a separate section for your pinned/favourite items?

There are too many products in nibble right now that I can find anything in the time I want when they are sorted alphabetically. Currently this is solved by the tabs. Click food, get only food items. etc. This is used everyday and I feel it's better to click a button than spending 10s to look for something.

However I'm not at all attached to the tabs solution, I just want a way to filter stuff so that I can find the things I want right away.

If things are sorted by purchase frequency this is solved in 90% of cases. But sometimes I have a hankering for a twix, and if I have to hunt in a list, that's long and sorted semi-arbitrarily, I will be annoyed. So this needs to be solved, either through tabs, filters or something like it.
